In March 2019 we travelled to Punjab, India, for two showcase performances of PunjabTronix at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana and Kala Bhawan Punjabi University, Patiala.
PunjabTronix is an exciting international project, commissioned and produced by Asian Arts Agency, featuring electronic music producer DJ Swami and folk musicians from Punjab, India.
The early development residency for PunjabTronix took place in Punjab with a collaboration between artists from India and the UK, so it was really exciting to take the project back.
The March 2019 concerts in India follow two successful tours in the UK (July 2017) and USA (March 2018).
The response from audiences was absolutely phenomenal with University students dancing in the aisles and really appreciating the music.
