Asian Arts Agency presents an afternoon with renowned Indian vocalist Swati Natekar.
Asian Arts Agency are delighted to present Swati Natekar as part of the Festival of Voice at St Georges Bristol.
A rare treat for music lovers, this special afternoon with Swati Natekar will leave you mesmerised.
Swati Natekar is a UK based Indian classical, ghazal and world music singer, songwriter and composer. Her accolades include collaborations with Nitin Sawhney, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Niraj Chag, Talvin Singh, Craig Armstrong, Sonu Nigam & Muzaffer Ali. Her voice features in Hollywood films like The In-Laws and Deepa Mehta’s film The Republic of Love.
Swati’s voice is known worldwide through Nadia on Nitin Sawhney’s Mercury nominated album Beyond Skin and Jakkata-American Dream, which reached number 3 in the U.K main charts. Swati performed the track live at the Awards function at Alexandra Palace, London which was telecast by Channel 4.
Her released albums includes Destiny Chakra. She has toured extensively at international venues and festivals including Barbican London, Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland) & Cité de la musique (Paris).
Swati will be presenting a variety of skills and Indian musical genres in this concert.
