  • A stylised photograph of Talvin Singh, holding his tabla, with green and lighting blurs across the photo.

Talvin Singh leads an extraordinary evening of rhythm, improvisation, and global musical dialogue.
Shradhanjali honours the enduring legacy of the legendary tabla maestro Zakir Hussain—a pioneering force who, since the 1990s, brought together the world’s finest percussionists in a spirit of collaboration, virtuosity, and innovation under the title Masters of Percussion.

Shradhanjali, led by Mercury-Prize winning tabla player Talvin Singh, continues that tradition in this special concert.

Talvin Singh is joined by a stellar lineup comprising

Marcus Gilmore (drums)
Ananthan R Krishnan (mridangam)
Satin Singh (multi-percussion)
• special guest Tom Rogerson (piano)

The evening opens with a hypnotic duet between Tom Rogerson and Talvin Singh, blending tabla, piano, and subtle electronic textures into a deeply immersive soundscape.

The second half brings together a powerful percussion ensemble, where traditions meet innovation. Expect intricate rhythmic interplay, improvisation of the highest order, and a celebration of shared musical language—uniting jazz, Indian classical, and global percussion forms.

A rare opportunity to witness master musicians in conversation, Shradhanjali is both a tribute and a living continuation of a revolutionary musical vision.

Presented by Asian Arts Agency and Talvin Singh.
