A vibrant show where young students from local music and dance schools perform alongside an acclaimed artist
Rhythm Utsav returns for its ninth year, bringing Indian classical music and dance to Bristol.
First established in 2015 by Rhythm India, the annual event has become a vibrant platform where young students from local music and dance schools perform alongside acclaimed artists. Since 2017, Rhythm Utsav has worked in partnership with Asian Arts Agency to grow the event to its current size, where around 70 students take part each year, showcasing their talent and passion for tradition.
This year’s Utsav falls on 18 October, marking the beginning of the Diwali celebrations.
The first half of this event will be dance and music performance showcases by leading Bristol-based art schools, followed by a special performance by renowned sarod player Debasmita Bhattacharya, accompanied by tabla artist Surdarshan Singh Chana.
