Asian Arts Agency presents an exciting new international project: Punjabtronix!
A live mix of electronic music with vocals, Punjabi rap, dhol rhythms, algoza flute, traditional sarangi and tumbi stringed instruments. A new cutting edge collaboration between established electronic British Indian music Producer Swami and Punjabi vocalists and musicians featured on his award-winning albums Desi Nu Skool Beatz, DesiRock and EQUALIZE.
Traditional instruments interacting creatively with live electronic beats and basslines layered with the powerful distinct vocals of the Punjab. Using digital synths, laptop sequencers and MIDI controllers and set to a visual backdrop of digital effects mixed and morphed with urban western and Indian imagery. Punjabtronix is a cutting edge experience of technology and British electronic music connecting, exploring, improvising and conversing with the raw energetic DNA of Punjab culminating in a new unique musical and visual experience.
Punjabtronix, a new music project is commissioned by Asian Arts Agency to promote international collaborations between artists from England and India. A fully developed project will be touring both in India and the UK in 2017.
