Sound artist Jason Singh and genre-defying musician Sarathy Korwar come together for a collaborative performance.
After his opening show for our New Soundz Festival, we’re excited to bring sound artist Jason Singh to the Southbank Centre, performing alongside genre-defying musician Sarathy Korwar in the South Asian Sounds series being curated across the weekend.
In it, Singh and Korwar explore a range of soundscapes, drawing inspiration from Indian classical ragas, jazz, ambient, avant-garde hip-hop, dub and the natural world.
Singh’s ability to craft immersive soundscapes, drawing from nature’s diverse sounds, has seen him dubbed ‘the human sampler’ by BBC Radio 6 Music.
