New Collaboration | October 2018

In October 2018 we presented an exciting new collaboration of leading musicians from the UK’s Indian classical music scene, featuring Roopa Panesar (sitar), Jesse Bannister (saxophone), Kousic Sen (tabla) and RN Prakash (ghatam).

We provided the headline artists for Rhythm Utsav 2018, an event in Bristol organised by community organisation Rhythm India.

The audience were treated to a wonderful afternoon of music, with Roopa and Kousic performing Raag Bhimpalasi as a duo, before being joined by Jesse and RN Prakash after the interval.

The new collaboration was really inspired, with playful improvisation, call and response passages and virtuosic performances.
