Bollywood Brass Band and Jyotsna Srikanth perform in Leicester City Centre for Night of Festivals.
We are pleased to present Carnatic Connections with Jyotsna Srikanth and Bollywood Brass Band in Leicester as part of its festival season.
Strings meet brass in this collaboration, bringing together virtuosic violin playing and funky brass and drums.
The show features solo sets from both artists, instrumental versions of film songs from Bollywood and South India, plus new material.
As europe’s leading violinist from the South Indian classical tradition, Jyotsna Srikanth is an accomplished western classical musician who has collaborated with acclaimed world music artists as well as recently working with Roopa Panesar.
The Bollywood Brass Band is the UK’s pioneering Indian-style wedding band, playing the great tunes and compulsively danceable rhythms of Bollywood. The two acts will combine traditional and contemporary music to create a classic sound of India.
